Expedition log

  1. Humans put on coats. I perform the Sad Eyes. They leave anyway. Noted.
  2. Decision made. If they will not bring the hotpot to me, I will go to the hotpot.
  3. Began packing.
  4. Packed: one sock, one tennis ball, my favourite blanket.
  5. Bag too heavy. Removed the tennis ball. Still too heavy. It was the blanket. The blanket stays.
  6. Put the tennis ball back. A dog has needs.
  7. Plan drawn up. Step 1: find hotpot. Step 2: beef. There is no step 3.
  8. Set off.
  9. Lost.
  10. Somewhere between the couch and the kitchen. Everything looks the same from down here.
  11. Asked the cat for directions. She looked at me. I looked at her. Nobody learned anything.
  12. Followed a promising smell. It was my own food bowl.
  13. Ate the supplies.
  14. Set up camp under the blanket. Exploring is exhausting.
  15. Heard keys in the door. Mission accomplished: they came to me.
